One of the participant Jessy said: Hi, i attended the the Training for Educational and Charitable Institutions since I am connected with a corporate foundation/trust and I found it very useful. What I liked about the program was that 1.It had multiple presenters who were experts/authorities on various subtopics, 2. The overall topic was well covered, 3. the timing was good -not too long not too short 4. and most importantly this is an area where it is usually not possible to get training. Thanks a lot! (See this in the 'Comments' section)

From the desk of leader of STARTT-LTP

Hi Leaders ,

I have addressed us as leaders as we all have inherent leadership qualities , which only need to be fine tuned  and developed positively . The START Leaders Trainee Program(LTP) is the ideal place for this development

Another session of the START LTP programme  completed successfully on the 21st of July 2013. It was presided over by the mentor , Dr Sibichen K Mathew IRS and Mr.Philip Mathew - former trustee St Thomas Forane Church .

Dr. Sibichen initiated a discussion on -The Judgement of the Hon Supreme Court quashing NEET and the socio political context . Articles written on the subject , in The Hindu , were read to aid in the discussion , thus serving as an active news paper reading exercise as well . Each of the leaders present , individually presented their views and analysis on the topic .

This task was thus a stepping stone in brushing aside that fear of public speaking and articulation , we all face . Dr. SibichEn provided much needed constructive insights and advice on how to be effective public speakers .

The leaders then quizzed each other  on the current events-national and international, of the past month .

The Leaders  in the next 2 months , will be involved in the organizing of the events under  START- Professional Training Programme . Ms Soji discussed the progress in the planning for the Training Program for Educational and Charitable Institutions .

The next LTP session will be conducted on  25th August, Sunday at 10.30 a.m . The topic of discussion will be Privacy Vs Security: Governance issues and challenges . Follow Dr Sibichen's blog  post (Privacy in a snooping world) for useful insights on the topic.

Bring questions on current events  till  24th August.

Hope to see you all next month .

Intellectual discussion has never been this much fun ..

Cheers

Ann
