LAW AWARENESS PROGRAM FOR PUBLIC


“Awareness of Law should reach to the poor and uneducated people through programs like this” said Prof. M V Rajeev Gowda M P during his inaugural speech of “Law Awareness Program for public” conducted by STARTT – PTP.

STARTT – PTP has achieved one more feather in its cap with the successful “Law Awareness Program for Public” conducted on 8th November 2014 at St. Thomas Forane Church from 2pm to 7pm.

The program was intended to provide awareness on various laws to all classes of the society and make them aware of the legal rights, systems and responsibilities as a citizen.

Various Laws related to property transactions in Bengaluru, Consumer Protection Act, Right to Information Act and Cyber Laws and Complaint Procedures were detailed subjects of the program.

Eminent faculties like Adv. Vivek Britto, B.Com, LLB (Karnataka High Court), Adv. Prakash Shenoy, B.Com, FCA, LLB (Tort & Crimes) and Adv. Sunil Paul, BA, LLB (IPAB & Cyber Law) has taken sessions on various laws.

An interactive session with the participants about their real life cases has thrown more light on the practical aspects in detail to the public.

The program was started with the introductory speech by Mr. Francis Antony (Retd ITS) about STARTT-Professional Training Program and an overview of the STARTT program by Mr. Martin Thomas, Administrative Officer – STARTT followed by welcome address by Prof Tomy Kallarackal, advisor STARTT.

Dr. Sibichen K Mathew IRS (Advisor – TRAI) has introduced the Chief Guest of the program Prof. M V Rajeev Gowda, M P. The program was inaugurated by Prof. M V Rajeev Gowda, M P followed by technical sessions.  

We thank all the participants for their active interaction and participation and look forward to their continued presence in our upcoming programs.

STARTT PTP


STARTT – A New Startup Community


“We need STARTT as a Startup community” says participants of the program held on 9th August 2014.

“Startup” has become a common word among entrepreneurs in India, especially Bangalore, with the emergence of Flipkart and other startup firms in to the global level. Finance Minister in his Budget speech also announced a host of measures to encourage entrepreneurship including a Rs. 10,000 crore fund to back early stage companies.

In order to provide the young entrepreneurs a platform to join together and share their ideas, STARTT has conducted a Training and Capacity Building Program for all the Startup firms, Small and Medium Enterprises and Business Consultants on entrepreneurship ideas, fund raising, capital management, registration formalities, human resource management, marketing strategies, trade mark, import – export requirements etc.

Business aspirants from small business owners to big corporates like SAP, Dell, Hewlett Packard, Mast kalandar, Genpact, MicroLand, Akamai Technologies, Tonse Technologies etc., has participated in the program along with entrepreneurs from various parts of Karnataka and Kerala. STARTT PTP is getting frequent inquiries from entrepreneurs from different parts of India about conducting similar programs in major cities. Live update via Twitter and Facebook has widened the reach and scope of our Professional Training Program to entrepreneurs across India. Large media coverage also helped us to take STARTT programs to the next level making STARTT widely accepted to startup communities across Karnataka.

The program started with the welcome address by Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas Kallukalam CMI, Director STARTT followed by an inaugural session by Dr. Sibichen Mathew IRS , Advisor TRAI.

6. Marketing Strategies – Mr. Jayadevan ( Journalist, The Economic Times)

7. People Management Techniques – Mr. Raju Thomas ( Project Consultant, IIM)

8. Export – Import Legal requirement – Mr. Francis Antony ( Retd. ITS)

9. Alternative finance solutions – Mr. Premkumar (Deputy Manager – Federal Bank)

STARTT  Professional Training Program Series

Training Program for Religious, Charitable and Educational Institutions - 14th June 2014 


Training program conducted by STARTT-PTP on 14th June 2014 helped to throw light on the gray areas of the financial, legal and operational functions of Not for Profit Organisations. Representatives from various religious organisations, schools, trusts, NGOs, colleges, charitable institutions, Chartered Accountants and other professionals participated in the program.


The program was inaugurated by Fr. Thomas Kallukalam CMI, Director of STARTT, followed by keynote address by Fr. James Mathew Pampara CMI, Chief Academic Adviser, STARTT. 



Sessions were conducted by CA John Mathew FCA, CA Reni Philip FCA, Mr.M G Kothandaram, Supt of Central Excise, Mr.  K R Narayana, Deputy Commissioner Income tax (TDS), Mrs. Soumya Achar IRS and Ms. Rukmini Attri IRS on various rules, regulations and compliance. 


There was an interactive session with each speaker so that the participants could discuss their doubts and difficulties directly and get proper guidance.

Course materials in digital form and participation certificates were distributed to all the participants at the end of the program.
