STARTT PTP


STARTT – A New Startup Community


“We need STARTT as a Startup community” says participants of the program held on 9th August 2014.

“Startup” has become a common word among entrepreneurs in India, especially Bangalore, with the emergence of Flipkart and other startup firms in to the global level. Finance Minister in his Budget speech also announced a host of measures to encourage entrepreneurship including a Rs. 10,000 crore fund to back early stage companies.

In order to provide the young entrepreneurs a platform to join together and share their ideas, STARTT has conducted a Training and Capacity Building Program for all the Startup firms, Small and Medium Enterprises and Business Consultants on entrepreneurship ideas, fund raising, capital management, registration formalities, human resource management, marketing strategies, trade mark, import – export requirements etc.

Business aspirants from small business owners to big corporates like SAP, Dell, Hewlett Packard, Mast kalandar, Genpact, MicroLand, Akamai Technologies, Tonse Technologies etc., has participated in the program along with entrepreneurs from various parts of Karnataka and Kerala. STARTT PTP is getting frequent inquiries from entrepreneurs from different parts of India about conducting similar programs in major cities. Live update via Twitter and Facebook has widened the reach and scope of our Professional Training Program to entrepreneurs across India. Large media coverage also helped us to take STARTT programs to the next level making STARTT widely accepted to startup communities across Karnataka.

The program started with the welcome address by Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas Kallukalam CMI, Director STARTT followed by an inaugural session by Dr. Sibichen Mathew IRS , Advisor TRAI.

Following technical sessions were handled by leading faculties from different fields:

1. Entrepreneurship ideas and Business Development strategies – Prof. Mathew. J. Manimala, IIM

2. Fund raising and Venture Capital Financing – Ms. Snigdha Rao, IIM (Senior Investment Manager at Aavishkaar Venture Management Services)

3. Trade Mark, Patent and Copyright – Adv. Sunil Paul ( Attorney for Trade Mark, Copyright and Geographical Integrations)

4. Registration of Legal entities – CA Pulkit Sharma, ACA

5. Goal Setting, Handling budget dispute and major causes of failure – Mr. Sridhar Rao (Retd. DGM, State Bank of Mysore)

6. Marketing Strategies – Mr. Jayadevan ( Journalist, The Economic Times)

7. People Management Techniques – Mr. Raju Thomas ( Project Consultant, IIM)

8. Export – Import Legal requirement – Mr. Francis Antony ( Retd. ITS)

9. Alternative finance solutions – Mr. Premkumar (Deputy Manager – Federal Bank)

There is a demand for more such programs from the participants now. Management has provided special discount to the parishioners to ensure their full-fledged participation in all the programs of STARTT and explore the maximum possibility of knowledge update.

Participants have appreciated STARTT for it’s professionally managed and well conducted program especially time management, program content, expertise and knowledge of faculties etc.
